Former UFC welterweight champion Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley is set to join the Paul brothers circus.

After trading shots on social media for some time, The Athletic is now reporting that Woodley will face YouTube star Jake Paul in a future boxing match on Showtime.

MMA Fighting reported Monday evening “The fight is expected to become official later this week with a press conference that will feature Paul and Woodley facing off for the first time. A date and location for the fight will also be announced at that time.

Woodley cornered Ben Askren when he faced Paul back in April.

Woodley said ahead of that bout  “[Paul] thought he picked Ben because Ben wasn’t really known for his striking prowess in MMA as more for his grinding, his cardio, his ability to submission, his ground and pound, his wrestling, his aggressiveness. He wasn’t really known for the boxing aspect of the sport. So, he [Jake Paul] probably thought it was an easy pick to go get that fight. But Ben’s Ben, swung at by all the world champion boxers and kickboxers.”

Paul then knocked the retired Askeren with a one punch in the first round.

MMA Fighting continued, “After his last fight was promoted by Triller, Paul inked a multi-fight deal with Showtime Sports with his matchup with Woodley expected to serve as the first bout on that contract.”

Paul has a 3-0 record in his boxing career with all three fights ending by way of knockout.

Woodley has not yet taken to social media to address the situation. However, Woodley tweeted to Paul on April 24.
